The MPT requires you to complete a lawyerly task, like a persuasive brief or objective memorandum, in 90 minutes. In some jurisdictions it is worth 10% of your score. In Uniform Bar Exam jurisdictions, it is worth 20% of your score. That is the equivalent of 70 scored multiple-choice questions if you are in a UBE jurisdiction! We recommend THIS instead of the Barbri Mock Exam
0 Comments/in Bar ExamWe recommend THIS instead of the Barbri Mock Exam
The Barbri mock exam creates a lot of stress among students. They wonder:
- Is the Barbri mock exam harder than the actual exam?
- Can you score low on the Barbri exam and still pass the real exam?
- What “percentage” is passing on the Barbri mock exam?
Instead of asking these questions, guessing at whether you will receive a passing score, or worrying about how hard the MBE will be in comparison to the Barbri mock exam, we recommend you take a lot of the guesswork and stress out of it and use actual released bar exam questions.
That way, the only question is: Am I getting enough questions right to pass? You do not have to worry about how these questions compare to “real” questions as they were written by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) so they are reflective of what you will see. (We explain at the bottom of this post what score you should aim for on the released MBE exams.) Read more

in Bar ExamTips for Trusts on the Multistate Essay Exam
This time in our MEE tips series we address Trusts. When thinking about Trusts on the Multistate Essay Exam, you should consider two questions. First, how is it tested? And how often is it tested? In the last 10 years (20 administrations), we’ve seen Trusts on the Multistate Essay Exam 10 times. However, it is not appearing as frequently as of late (and particularly, since the NCBE only started writing 6 questions for MEE states to choose from). Since February 2013, we have only seen Trusts on the Multistate Essay Exam 3 times. While it might be becoming less popular, it has still been a favorite subject of the Examiners in the past, so don’t dismiss it!
